Career networking event tonight (MD/MBA Conference)

I'm now in Boston attending the Association of MD/MBA Programs (AMMP) 8th Annual Conference. Tonight, the meeting kicks off with a career networking event sponsored by Propel Careers, Tufts University School of Medicine, and the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. My wife and I were commenting that we missed the old restaurant at the top of the Hyatt. Do you remember what it was called? Spinnaker.

While I'm here at the MD/MBA conference, I look forward to meeting:
* Current and future MD/MBA and DO/MBA students
* Medical students, residents, fellows
* Current and future directors of MD/MBA programs
* Faculty affiliated with MD/MBA programs
* Industry representatives interested in learning more about MD/MBA professionals
* Business school representatives affiliated with MD/MBA programs

Incentives to Boost Health IT Adoption in Massachusetts

The state of Massachusetts has seen an impressive uptake of health IT because of incentives from health plans and a state-mandated deadline to have computerized physician order entry (CPOE) implemented in all hospitals within four years. Plus, with all those medical universities like Harvard, Tufts, Boston University, and U Mass Amherst, you have a state with a huge resource of technologists and scientists developing EHRs that are tailored for their health systems.
