Looking for medical student "advocates" and "champions" for NonClinicalJobs.com

I had a great time speaking with medical students at the Association of MD/MBA Programs 8th Annual Conference. I realize that there are many medical students (especially Asian students) who may feel trapped by medical school because they don't want to practice medicine but they also don't know how they'll make a living and pay off their student loans. These students may not have an MBA, but if they think that an MBA is required in order for them to establish a non-clinical career, then they may feel hopeless or discouraged. Perhaps you know what I'm talking about or you know someone who can relate to this.

Most medical schools lack resources regarding alternative physician career options. It's difficult to find mentors and faculty members who may be very knowledgeable about non-clinical job opportunities. Even if you're in an MD/MBA program, you may only hear about industries like consulting, VC, and pharma. There are many other options out there!

So many medical students have told me that this website has been a helpful resource for them. To spread the word about NonClinicalJobs.com, I'm looking for medical students who would be willing to be an "advocate" or a "champion" for this website. What am I looking for?  I'm looking for students who can help me spread the word about this site by wearing a NonClinicalJobs.com T-shirt and also by distributing some flyers for your classmates. Interested? You don't need to be an MD/MBA student, but you need to be a medical student (preferably in a US medical school). MD, DO, PharmD, JD, PhD, MBA, MPH, MS

How many people do you know who have multiple doctorate and master degrees?

We commonly see MD, MPH (or DO, MPH)
I also know a few physicians with MD, JD
We see physician scientists with MD, PhD (or DO, PhD)
I also know quite a few people who have MD, MPH, MBA
It's less common to find someone who have MD, PhD, MPH, MBA

Where's the limit? There is none! So, what are these people doing with so many degrees? By the time you graduate with all these degrees, you won't have time to work because you'll be ready to retire!

Professional Matchmaking

No, not the romantic type of matchmaking so please don't start getting any strange ideas. I met a medical school graduate who had some questions about life as an MD/JD. You don't have to be an MD/JD to understand legal medicine - there are some expert witness physicians who know the legal system inside and out. Since I don't have a law degree, I didn't feel qualified to answer the questions I was being asked. So, I directed this person to an MD/JD who I knew and did some matchmaking as a professional courtesy. The world of legal medicine is very broad and unless you've worked as a physician attorney, I don't think you'll have the right type of perspective to give advice and direction. LinkedIn is a great social network where you can meet and help other people.
