The American Association for Physician Leadership is seeking physician leaders with board and operational experience to help address the rapidly changing health care environment. Board members serve a four-year term.The deadline to submit a nomination is January 15, 2016.To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Credentials must include at least one of the following:
•Fellowship with the association (FAAPL or FACPE)
•Certification by CCMM (CPE) and/or a master's degree graduate from one of the association's partnering universities.
Professional experience must include all of the following:
•Previous board experience.
•Previous operational experience: managing people, information and budgets.
•Regional or national recognition as a physician leader through teaching, writing, speaking or contributing to the health care leadership above and beyond what is expected from the current employer.
