Harvard Medical School now offers a Master in Healthcare Quality and Safety (MHQS). This program aims to train students in how to become operational leaders in healthcare quality, safety and informatics.
THE FORMAT
The MHQS is a full-time, residential program over 9 months located on Harvard Medical School's campus in Boston.
THE CURRICULUM
Students learn from faculty working in Harvard affiliated hospitals including the Massachusetts General Hospital, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
THE PARTICIPANTS
The program is designed for doctors, dentists, nurses, administrators, policy makers, and other health professionals who are either in leadership positions or who aspire to leadership positions in healthcare quality, risk management and patient safety. Applicants must hold an MD or other advanced degree and possess at least three years of clinical experience.
