Get ready for the 1st annual International Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Health (IEH). Jointly sponsored by Oklahoma State University, Indiana University, Oklahoma University, and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the conference will be held in Oklahoma City on March 5-6, 2012.
This inaugural conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Health reflects a growing need to transform todays’ dysfunctional health care systems into one in which creative and innovative solutions will lead to better health and health care delivery. We are living through what is, arguably, the most challenging time for the health care industry. Globally, health systems are characterized by rising costs, poor access and diminishing quality and safety of care and there appears to be no imminent solution on the horizon. In the wake of this crisis in health, the world is looking for new sources of efficiency and alternative business models. Now, more than ever, we need health sector academics and practitioners to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship ... not just to survive, but to redefine and reshape health and health care delivery.
