The Medical Science Liaison will serve primarily as a scientific resource for Scientific Experts by responding to their research and information needs, as well as providing connections to scientists and resources within and external to the company. They also utilize their deep therapeutic area expertise to respond to unsolicited requests for medical/scientific information received from Scientific Experts and other health care professionals. MSL are valuable resources to the company because they identify opportunities for research collaborations, support medical initiatives, engage in scientific training activities for colleagues, and share insights based on their interactions with Scientific Experts and knowledge of the external medical/scientific environment to better inform the company’s strategic direction for research and commercialization.

Candidate can be located in Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL or Orlando, FL

The key responsibilities of the MSL include:
• Provide medical/scientific information to Scientific Experts and other Healthcare Providers only in response to an unsolicited, specific request. Responses can include, but are not limited to, information on:
o Approved products (on-label and off-label),
o Investigational compounds,
o Disease states, and
o Publicly available information on competitor products.
• Some Scientific Experts may have information requests of a repeating or ongoing nature on topics in areas of current rapid scientific development which may be characterized as Standing Requests. The MSL may respond to standing requests for emerging medical/scientific information on topics of interest, provided that all company guidelines are satisfied.
• Collaborate with external experts on research projects, publications, and other medical activities as approved by direct supervision and following relevant standards and procedures.
• Present at scientific/industry conferences in response to a call for presentation, in accordance with company policies.
• If authorized by the MSL’s supervision, he/she may proactively inform a select group of health care providers or external customers about highly significant clinical and/or safety information concerning approved products (label change, for example).

Licensure and Skill Requirements for MSL:
• 2 to 5 years of clinical work experience in a critical care or related setting
• Advanced degree as a Pharm D, MD, NP, PA, or MSN
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross-divisionally as well as independently
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and protocol development
• Knowledge of analysis of clinical data and pharmacology
• Knowledge of principles of pharmacoeconomics
• Evidence of scholarly activity through publications
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and execute plans against objectives in an independent environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation / platform skills.
• Ability to motivate and persuade others.
• Excellent computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office, Access and Excel

Travel: 70 %
