CDC Public Health Informatics Conference

CDC Public Health Informatics Conference
Atlanta Georgia
August 21, 2011 - August 24, 2011

he annual conference for the public health informatics community will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, August 21–August 24, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta.

The theme this year is Engaging, Empowering, Evolving…Together, and we hope you'll join us as the best of the public health and health informatics communities meet in one place to invest in the future of public health informatics and every discipline it may touch. The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) will co-sponsor this event.

This year’s conference will feature workgroups/ancillary meetings, informatics workshops/tutorials, and many opportunities for networking with health sector colleagues from the tribal, local, state, national, and international levels. You can also provide input to CDC on how to implement current and future initiatives in the context of the larger Public Health and national Health Information Technology agendas.

The conference planning team would like to thank the following partners: AMIA, NAHDO, ASTHO, CSTE, APHL, NAPHSIS, JPHIT, HiMSS, and NAPHIT, state and local health department partners, and internal subject matter experts in CDC from the Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (OSELS), and the Public Health Informatics and Technology Program Office (PHITPO).
