Cerner’s Healthe Employer organization is a health services provider to Fortune 2000 companies. Services include development and management of on-site primary care and occupational health clinics, wellness and condition health management, on-site pharmacy, third party claims administration, and benefit design. Cerner’s Healthe Employer has an immediate need for a Medical Director. As the Healthe Employer Medical Director, you will:
• Monitor and evaluate clinical quality across service offerings and provide feedback to clinical teams
• Conduct chart reviews on clinic providers to assess care delivery and provide guidance for physician/provider performance expectations
• Serve as the clinical client liaison for Healthe Employer clients
• Assist sales team in delivering presentations on the Healthe Employer offerings
• Provide clinical support during implementation of programs to client sites
• Serve as the medical and ordering authority for wellness screenings program
• Working with analytics team to develop consistent dashboard reporting for clients on clinical and financial measures
• Serve as a clinical content expert for development and support of chronic disease management programs and screening programs for Healthe Employer services.
• Evaluate policies and procedures for Healthe Employer services
• Interact with Cerner Development and Information Systems on operation implications of various technologies
• Provide educational support for clinical staff development
Minimum Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited medical school and training program
• Maintains an active medical license that is in good standing
• Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine board certified
• 5- 7 years of practice experience
• 5 - 7 years of Health Plan Medical Director or Health Plan administration experience
• Strong quality background
• Experience with medical oversight of clinics
• Experience developing and implementing clinical programs
• Strong condition management experience
• Currently residing or willing to relocate to Kansas City
• Able to travel up to 50%
Preferred Requirements:
• 7 – 10 years of practice experience
• 7 – 10 years of Health Plan Medical Director or Health Plan administration experience
• Multiple active state licenses
