So, make the most out of those holiday parties. Make an extra effort to speak with people you don't know. Get to know spouses (since they may be key decision makers or may know important people who can ultimately help you with your job search). Open up and talk about your career transition plans. Explore different industries (pharma, managed care, biotech, medical devices, health IT, medical communications, etc.).
