From medical school to seminary (and vice versa)

I know a Christian pastor who graduated from medical school. In fact, this individual attended a top-notch U.S. medical school and decided to pursue full-time ministry after graduating from medical school. I suppose you could say that he's pursuing an alternative career, but some would say that he's pursuing a divine career. How can you go wrong if you're obeying God's calling?

In contrast, I know another person who attended a Christian seminary and then decided to go to medical school. Perhaps this person will have the opportunity to serve as a physician and moonlight as a hospital chaplain on nights and weekends!

These may not seem like traditional career paths, but I certainly admire those who follow their convictions.
