Health care employment grew by 31,000 in July

Before you jump out of your clinical career, consider what's happening in the job market today. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Health care employment grew by 31,000 in July. Ambulatory health care services  and hospitals each added 14,000 jobs over the month. Over the past 12 months, health care employment has grown by 299,000.

While unemployment remains relatively unchanged at 9.1 percent, health care professionals are finding jobs. By leaving clinical medicine, will you be sacrificing job security?
