Job Purpose and Scope:
Under direction of the HIM lead analyst and management of the HIM Operations Manager, performs various complex duties utilizing knowledge of HIM procedures and systems to maintain regulatory compliance for an accurate and complete legal medical record.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs the following duties in accordance to HIM Policy and Procedure:
• Process medical records for scanning into the electronic medical record (clean/assemble)
• Analyze medical records for complete documentation and assign deficiencies
• Release protected health information for emergent medical situations according to HIM Policies and Procedures and State and Federal regulations.
• Prepare and electronically submit birth certificate information to comply with County procedures and regulations.
