Since I've been seeing a growing interest in social networking, I've been writing about ways to leverage tools like Twitter and LinkedIn. More clinicians are also looking for writing opportunities in blogging.
Dr. Joseph Kim is a physician technologist who has a passion to leverage health information technology to improve public health. Joe is also an active social media specialist and he blogs about non-clinical jobs and opportunities, medicine and technology, medical smartphones, and mobile computing. He is actively involved in counseling physicians who wish to transition to non-clinical careers. Joe currently works in the medical education industry and he previously developed Internet health portals and interactive computer-based wellness initiatives. He has experience integrating personal health records and health risk assessment algorithms to develop comprehensive web-based health management strategies. Joe has a BS in engineering from MIT, an MD from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine, and an MPH from UMass Amherst School of Public Health.
